We know that Nintendo are planning on hosting a special Pokemon Direct tomorrow, on the 20th anniversary of the release of Pokemon Red and Blue. However, what was unknown was what would be the topic of this Direct- would it be a general retrospective of the franchise? Would it go over all the various Pokemon projects announced for this year- Pokemon GO, Pokemon Pikachu Detective, and Pokken Tournament? Or would it be the announcement of the long expected Pokemon Z?

If this new leak that has come to light is to be believed, it will be none of that- it will be the announcement of a brand new game. Pokemon 7 is set to be revealed during tomorrow’s Pokemon Direct, it appears- and the new set of games will be called Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

Full trademark classifications for both the games, along with their logos, have been discovered online by Nerd Leaks- what is unknown right now is, if these are indeed what is being announced tomorrow, what system these will be for. Will they be on the Nintendo 3DS? That would potentially jeopardize the Nintendo NX system due later this year. Would they be coming to NX, instead? Maybe NX/3DS multiplatform, like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was back in the day?

Or can we expect this to be totally out of the left field, and be exclusive to New Nintendo 3DS systems?

Whatever it is, we’ll know in less than 24 hours.
