Pokemon Sun/Moon Cross 2 Million Units Sold In Europe

Is there no stopping this game?

Posted By | On 08th, Dec. 2016

Pokemon Sun/Moon are already the most successful games of 2016, but it looks like there really is no stopping them. Just two weeks after they initially launched in Europe, Nintendo are reporting that they have already crossed 2 million units sold in the region, with 2.1 million copes sold- potentially, this makes Pokemon Sun/Moon to be on track to be Nintendo’s most successful game in Europe, ever.

This brings the total sales of Pokemon Sun/Moon to over 8 million copies worldwide (10 million were shipped out for launch); the game could easily sell through its first shipment by the end of the year, which means that it would be within touching distance of Pokemon X/Y‘s 15.6 million units sold worldwide. Pokemon X/Y is currently the most successful Nintendo 3DS game worldwide.

Pokemon Sun/Moon is out now on Nintendo 3DS systems worldwide. We think that, in spite of some flaws, it is the best game in the series yet, so you should definitely pick it up if you have not already.
