Pokemon Sun and Moon 3

Pokemon GO may be all the rage right now, but it is Pokemon Sun/Moon, the long awaited seventh entry in the franchise, due out later this year, that will be the true next step in the series’ evolution. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have been sharing new information and media for Pokemon Sun/Moon periodically ever since they first announced it, and today, we got the next big info dump for the game.

The new information we got includes six new Pokemon reveals, which are all… well, in the tradition of Pokemon designs that we have seen for Pokemon Sun/Moon so far, they are, shall we say, divisive. Much less divisive, however, are the new features that were also announced: these include the ability to host and participate in online tournaments, with friends or with strangers, and the ability to train even those Pokemon that have hit the Level 100 cap in a new feature called Hyper Training.

These features and new Pokemon are shown off in the new trailer for the game, which you can see for yourself below. Pokemon Sun/Moon will launch on November 18, 2016 on Nintendo 3DS exclusively in North America and Japan, with a European release to follow on November 23.
