Pokemon Sun/Moon New Trailer Show Off Even More New Features In Upcoming Games

They're really going all out.

Pokemon Sun and Moon 3

Pokemon Sun/Moon are looking to be the most different Pokemon games there have been yet- they’re already breaking from the traditional eight gyms, Elite Four structure that the games have adhered to since Pokemon Red/Green came out all the way back in 1996- but they are also introducing so many new features, it’s hard not to take notice.

Another new trailer for the games was released today, and it shows off quite a few things- some more story details, such as an artificial island to preserve all Pokemon, created by the Aether Foundation, another member of the enigmatic Team Skull who appears far more threatening than anyone else of the organization shown so far, a quest to try and find and assemble all cores and cells of Zygarde from around Alola, the fact that Pokemon Sun and Moon are set apart by 12 hours, meaning events will play out a bit differently in both, an in game photography feature that is sure to satisfy everyone who has been clamoring for a new Pokemon Snap (it even has a great screenshot sharing feature built right into the game), and some mysterious threat known as the Ultra Beasts, only referred to, but not detailed.

We also got to see some brand new Pokemon, including the Alolan form of Raticate, which I have to admit looks absolutely hideous. But maybe that’s the point. Pokemon Sun/Moon will launch exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS on November 18 in Japan and North America, with the European release following just a few days later on November 23.
