Pokemon Sun and Moon 3

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company released a brand new trailer for Pokemon Sun/Moon today, and this might just be the best one for the upcoming video game yet- the new trailer introduces some new Pokemon species, which is expected and par for the course, but it also reveals some new features coming to the series with these new titles, which should completely overhaul the long running franchise.

These features include something called the Island Challenge, which seems to be replacing the traditional gym leader/Pokemon League structure of the game with a more story oriented progression for Pokemon; it includes new breeds for existing Pokemon, with new typings and visual forms- for instance, an Alola specific variation of the fire Pokemon Vulpix seems to be white, graceful, and the Ice type. The trailer confirms that some very well received features from the previous few games, such as riding Pokemon and Soaring, are returning, and also seems to hint that they will be replacing the archaic HM dependency of the franchise entirely. Finally, they introduce something called Z Moves, which are super powered ultimate moves for each Pokemon type that can be used once per battle.

Pokemon Sun/Moon are set to launch on November 18 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS. Based on everything we have seen for the games so far, they may just end up becoming the best and freshest titles the series has had in a very long time.
