Pokemon Sword and Shield - The Crown Tundra

The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Sword and Shield’s next DLC The Crown Tundra releases on October 22nd. During its recent update video for the Expansion Pass, it showcased a number of new features from Dynamax Adventures to the Galarian Star Tournament. Check them out below.

The DLC will see Legendary Pokemon from previous games making a return. As you explore the Crown Tundra region, you’ll come across a “layer” where Dynamax Pokemon dwell. This cave system will house the returning Legendaries but you’ll need to team up with other trainers to have a chance at beating them.

There’s also the Galarian Star Tournament where you’ll team up with other renowned trainers from the base game and DLC (like Leon, Marnie, Nessa and so on) for battles. This allows for exploring some unknown sides of these trainers as you get to know them better. The developer also confirmed that bundles containing Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield along with their expansion passes will be available from November 6th onwards.

Stay tuned for more details on The Crown Tundra DLC in the meantime.
