Pokemon games have never been known for their focus on story and storytelling. That said, the series has been focussing more on narrative with each successive release, with Sun and Moon being the most story-focused games in the series to date. While we do expect Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon to follow suit, we expect it to go about it quite differently. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have been called an “alternate storyline” to what happened in Sun and Moon by Game Freak. It remains to be seen whether Team Skull will be returning, but it does look like Necrozma might be the main threat in the game, not to mention the fact that there’s going to be major new players as well…
