Pokémon X & Y became the fastest selling 3DS title of all time, with four million copies sold in two days since releasing on October 12th. Game Freak director Junichi Masuda has since revealed that over ten million Pokémon have been exchanged since then at Spanish game convention ‘Salon del Manga de Barcelona’ (according to Nintenderos). Masuda revealed that StreetPass and online multiplayer were to thank for the high numbers.

It’s also been reported that Masuda wants to create more Mega Evolutions. So all those comics where horrifyingly bad Mega Evolutions are showcased for some Pokemon could indeed come true.

Pokemon X & Y significantly evolves (no pun intended) the series with a fully 3D-rendered world with new Pokemon, mechanics and the aforementioned Mega Evolutions. You can check out our review here for more information. The trading will continue, and one has to wonder about sales a month later. Stay tuned for more details.
