Prey Looks Spooky, Atmospheric, And Like A Must Play In This New Trailer From The Game Awards

Unexpectedly good looking.

Prey admittedly has nothing to do with the original game- it’s more of a spiritual successor to System Shock than it is the original Prey. But I can’t even be mad about that, simply because of how great the game looks. The E3 trailer already looked pretty exciting earlier this year, but the Game Awards trailer looked spooky, eerie, atmospheric, and honestly promised a more cerebral kind of first person shooter than the kind that we generally get.

A lot of different gameplay elements were shown off, and shooting seems to be far from the dominant element this time around- in fact, from what I saw, it almost looks more like a first person platformer than anything else.

You can check out the trailer below, and see what you think for yourself. If you’re not still salty about the Prey 2 cancellation, I am pretty confident you will like it. Prey launches next year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
