Prey Mimic Trailer Showcases Transformations, Sick Beats

Transform into an apple. Or a turret. Whatever works.

Arkane Studios’ Prey is still incoming but the developer has released some new footage to showcase the extent of the Mimic abilities that Morgan Yu can use against the aliens.

Along with shape-shifting into apples and toilet paper, Morgan can also transform into a sign to confuse the aliens before popping out again. It also seems to be a decent tool for hiding if a particularly large alien comes looking for you. The most interesting bit is the ability to transform into a turret and rip enemies (and other turrets) apart.

Prey will be releasing on May 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Along with these FPS mechanics, it will also have a significant amount of decision making, such as deciding which of your fellow survivors on Talos-1 should make it out alive. This apparently influences the endings you can get.

What are your thoughts on the Mimic powers though? Let us know below.
