Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is set to launch a couple of days from now, and has become available for owners of the Deluxe Edition. To coincide with that, Ubisoft has released a new video covering six tips to make it easier for you to navigate the perils of the Metroidvania setting of Mount Qaf. As you’d expect, the video showcases plenty of gameplay, while also revealing new details on the title.

A key location showcased in the video is the Haven, a hub location that players will be able to visit and revisit throughout the experience. Here, you can go to the blacksmith goddess Kaheva or the Mage to purchase new items and upgrades, speak to Fariba to buy hints for your current main objective, and speak with Artaban, a fellow Immortal, to engage in combat tutorials and challenges.

The video also goes on to talk about Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s boss battles and how best to prepare for them, while also spending plenty of time on the parry mechanic, which is central to combat and comes with a few interesting twists. Further details are revealed on exploration, using the map and making use of its functionalities, finding various resources scattered and hidden throughout Mount Qaf, and the game’s many customization and accessibility options. You can view the video below.

In our review of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “The Lost Crown is a fantastic game. Not only does it capture the biggest strengths of Prince of Persia’s earliest sidescrolling instalments, it also reinvigorates the series in spectacular fashion with its Metroidvania design structure. From level design to combat, from the platforming to its visual style, from the exploration to the soundtrack, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is an impressive accomplishment in more ways than one, and one of Ubisoft’s best games in years.” Read the full review through here.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launches on January 18 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A demo of the game is also available on all platforms.
