Slightly Mad Studios is working hard on Project CARS 2, the follow-up to its highly acclaimed racing simulator, and has released a new gameplay video to show off one of its prettier vehicles.

This is the Jaguar XJR 9 Prototype with the track being the Long Beach Grand Prix Circuit. The sensation of speed is captured pretty accurately here and we get a look at how the Jaguar fares on Long Beach. A few frame stutters and drops can be seen, which is expected, but the overall game is still in the optimization phase.

Project CARS 2 is slated to release in late 2017 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Along with additional tracks and modes, it will feature rally cross races and hill climbs. Players can also look forward to a co-op career along with the traditional solo career. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Let us know in the comments below.
