Microsoft’s already informed subscribers to the Xbox Live Gold service which games they will be getting for free in January as part of the Xbox live Games With Gold initiative, but Sony isn’t ready to take the curtains off their offerings just yet- in response to a fan question on Twitter, Sony’s Fred Dutton confirmed that the January 2016 lineup of free PS+ games for the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita won’t be announced until next week.

Of course, this isn’t indicative of anything- Sony has often led its PS+ game announcements till the last minute in the past, and we’ve received some of the best games to have been on the service in those months. The delay in this case is likely not because Sony doesn’t have anything big to show, but rather, because of the holidays, thanks to Christmas this weekend.

Hopefully, Sony decides to gift us all some great games too, then.
