PS Vita: Sony having a difficult time to secure third-party support

Posted By | On 10th, Aug. 2012

Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that the company is having a difficult time securing third-party support for their embattled handhled – PS Vita. They lost Monster Hunter 4 to Nintendo, and that gave a massive edge to the 3DS which will no doubt make it dictate the market in Japan.

Yoshida however was very happy with the platform and acknowledged some challenges that lied ahead for it, and the way they were going to combat it.

“Because of the growth of the social/mobile sector, lots of opportunities are being presented to publishers to choose from, and because the social/mobile side is the growing sector in terms of the business now, they are very quickly shifting their development resources to be part of that growing market,” he told OPM. Via IGN.

“It’s very easy to develop content on PS Vita. More content and more games is the number one priority that we have to realize Vita’s potential,” he said.
