Sony’s upcoming bid to keep the flagging PlayStation Vita relevant, the PlayStation Vita TV, a microconsole based on the Vita hardware that will get a release in Japan later this year, has received a new features walkthrough trailer.
Unfortunately, the new trailer is all in Japanese, so you would have no clue what they are saying. Never fear! We’ll translate it for you!
Essentially, the new video is a rundown of the Vita TV features, which include compatibility with supported PS Vita games, allowing for them to be played on TV, save data compatibility across PS Vita and PS Vita TV, full support for ad hoc multiplayer with other Vita handhelds, support for popular video services like Nico Nico and Hulu, app support such as Reader, Music Unlimited, and Twitter, and Remote Play support for the PS4.
It’s a pretty interesting device, and should see interest in the platform rejuvenated to some degree when it releases.
It still has no western release date, however, but stay tuned.
