In January 2009 at CES, Sony showed some of its games in full 3D view. The good news is that Sony might be rolling out a full 3D support for the Playstation 3. According to Engadget, next years Sony will be releasing a new firmware update that will enable players to play PS3 games in 3D. Thats also means that gamers would have to buy 3D glasses and its supporting hardware. Engadget says that the tech works as: “A 200Hz TV, for instance, alternates 1080p frames, with 100Hz for each eye.”
