PS4 and Xbox 720 Both Available for Assassin’s Creed IV Release?

We know, we know. But you can never be too sure.

Whether it was an honest mistake or misinterpretation of the question, the creative director for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Jean Guesdon may have indicated that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 would be available by the time the game ships.

Speaking to Outside Xbox, he was asked if there would be a delay between “all the versions” of the game to which Guesdon replied: “Same ship”.

The implication is that the Next Xbox is one of those versions. Guesdon could’ve taken the question to mean only the platforms already announced. Then again, it’s been common knowledge by now that we’ll see the Xbox 720 at E3 – if it weren’t coming out at the same time as other platform entries, it would be odd.

For now, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due to release in the US by October 29th with a UK release on November 1st. We’ll see it for ourselves whether an Xbox 720 release is on the cards at E3 2013.
