In a recent livestream, Insomniac Games shared a lot of details about their upcoming Marvel’s Spiderman game. For one, the game won’t just be showing the role of Spiderman as a superhero but will also explore the human story of Peter Parker. In fact, the team has suggested that this dual identity of Peter Parker will be an important part of the game’s story. While players will get to play as Peter Parker in parts of the game, the majority of the game will be played as Spiderman.
Mary Jane is an investigative journalist in this story and she will also be playable in some sections of the game. This will allow players to explore multiple facets of the game’s world which is basically a recreation of New York City although not an exact reproduction.
The team also analyzed the trailer and spoke of the important role that Miles Morales will play in this game. It is evident that the team has put a lot of effort into the setting and characters of the game. For example, the team decided to make Aunt May look older since it would tie in better with Peter’s storyline. There are also a lot more important characters like Norman Osbourne, the Mayor of New York City and villains such as Kingpin and Shocker who will play crucial roles in the story.
