Quantic Dream co-founder Guillaume de Fondaumiere has revealed that the PS4 is the PC of next year or two years. What he means is that it will be comparable to the latest PCs.

“We are already seeing in the first (PS4 tests) that we’re doing a big difference,” he told Gamespot.

“There are limitations on the PlayStation 3 and there will be limitations on PlayStation 4,” he said. “With the PlayStation 4, it’s something that really is more like the PC of next year or two years.”

The PS4 already has a latest PC APU tech and Sony while they haven’t spent a lot in creating proprietary technology like the Cell, they have managed to put together a system using off the shelf parts and it is also easy to develop for. It’s a system made with developers in mind and it runs on the X86 architecture of the PC.
