PS4 System Update 6.20 Is Available To Download Now

I give you three guesses to figure out what it does.

Right before the end of the year, Sony has decided to cap off what might have been the PS4’s best year on record by releasing a brand new system update. And, this new system update does… heck all. It does nothing.

System update 6.20, which is available now, is one of them “stability updates”, with the official notes stating that it “improves system performance”. Mercifully, it’s not a big update, coming in at under 450MB, so at least it won’t hog up your bandwidth. Your system should have downloaded this update automatically if you have background downloading turned on, and left your system in Rest Mode. If not, then you’ll have to initiate the download yourself.

I personally would not be too disappointed at the update being disappointing, because Sony typically releases major updates twice a year (once in Fall, once in Spring), and this is neither of those. And hey, at least now our PS4s are more stable.
