PS4 to be announced in May 2013 – Sony Exec reveals

E3 2013 looks more likely but Sony has been known to reveal things before the event.

It seems a Sony executive didn’t get the memo that you have to be absolutely quiet and not leak out details about the next-gen Sony PlayStation console.

He is also the vice president of Home Entertainment at Sony so the statement provided by him has some value. He has said that the new PlayStation announcement will be held in May, or at E3.

“That’s still a big secret, but our friends at Sony PlayStation are getting prepared. For now, I can only say that we’re focused in the gaming event E3, set for this June. This announcement may be then, or possibly earlier in May,” he said.

“…we expect [Sony] to deliver great news, but we must wait until May at least.”

This was said to a Chilean site El Mercurio On-Line and translated by NeoGAF members. I doubt he has knowledge about all these things considering he is from another department but since he is in a top position, he could actually know a lot.

Take this with a grain of salt though. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
