Sony world wide studios president Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that they would hate to see the PS4 having only FPS games. With PS4 we saw plenty of unique games like LittleBigPlanet and the likes, and Yoshida saying such things is indeed a positive development.

“Yeah, it was pretty intentional,” he said on Knack being the first reveal.

“Mark’s idea was like, “What about a Crash Bandicoot for PS4?” When he suggested the concept of Knack, we were like, “Yeah, we hate to see all the PS4 games being FPS or action-adventure or very photorealistic” – you know, big-budget blockbuster games.”

“We know that people like these games, but these are not the only kinds of games that people can have fun with.”

Sony haven’t shown a lot of games at the PS4 reveal conference but what they did show was old IPs along with a bunch of tech demos so maybe they will reveal all these non-FPS games at E3.

Thanks, Nowgamer.
