Everything you need to know is right there on the box.

Sony has recently been sending out the PS5 to various media outlets and influencers for pre-release coverage for the next-gen console. Polygon’s Samit Sarkar is among several who’ve received the console, and recently, he shared an interesting detail on Twitter.

Showing images of the PS5’s retail box, Sarkar revealed that the console’s box has instructions on the bottom for how to transfer your data from a PS4 to your new PS5. You can connect both consoles to the same network, you can connect them with an extended storage drive, or you can simply log in on your PS5 with the same PSN account you use on your PS4.

Sony have made it pretty clear that they want to make the transition from the PS4 to the PS5 much easier and quicker this time for players (their backward compatibility stance definitely doubles down on that), so it’s not surprising to see this (not quite) front and center on the box.

With the PS5 now being in the hands of the media, hopefully, new details and hands-on impressions will be coming in soon, so stay tuned to GamingBolt for all of those updates.
