We are close to next gen consoles, or at the very least we hope that we are unless the current COVID-19 pandemic delays that. Only time will tell, but we are slowly learning bits and pieces of the systems that are slated to hit these holidays. In Sony’s case, that learning has been slow. Unlike their competitor, they have been slow-dripping information about the PS5 at a snail’s pace. For instance, we have yet to even see the console, only the controller. While we’ve gotten tech information, it seems we now have hints that more is to come.

Taking to his official Twitter, the former Principal Software Engineer, Matt Hargett, went to answering a few questions about the system’s features, specifically what is lacking versus the Xbox Series X. While there’s several things fans trying to get him to say something solid, he dodged many and left the simple impression there’s a lot of “secrets” to be unveiled and not to take the leaks and current knowledge as all there is.

Right now the PlayStation 5 is slated to come at the end of the year, with reports out there that the first shipment could be on the smaller side. It’s hard to say, though, until Sony opens the floodgates on the console.
