ZeniMax Online have reportedly laid off as many as 300 people from their Galway office in Ireland. The Galway office was opened up primarily to provide customer support- but apparently, it was overstaffed for a game that has ultimately struggled to find its footing in a viciously competitive marketplace. Still, though, 300 people being shown the door all at once is a bit brutal.

Sources confirm that the layoffs took place several months ago, and that a dozen or so people have been kept on board, to keep things running- and that the office may expand again in the future, with a potential future release.

It sucks that all of these people had to lose their jobs, and here’s hoping that they can get back on their feet again as soon as possible. Being unemployed sucks.
