Quantic Dream Might Be Teasing A New Announcement

The French studio will have "great news" to share soon.

Detroit Become Human

With the current console generation clearly entering its twilight years, you’d be forgiven for thinking that there might not be any more new major exclusive announcements from Sony for the PS4, especially with the number of games that they’ve already got in the pipeline. However, it seems like Detroit: Become Human developer Quantic Dream might have something in store for us yet.

Over on Twitter, the French studio posted an update where they thanked fans for a great year, before saying that they’ll be back with “some great news” soon. They didn’t say anything else about what that news might be, so to say that it’s going to be a new game announcement would be little more than speculation at this point, but it’s definitely interesting. With Detroit: Become Human itself having only come out in 2018 itself after a long development cycle, most people would have guessed that we wouldn’t be seeing a new game from the studio for a while yet, but that might not be the case after all.

It’s also worth noting that Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls was released in 2013, just three years after Heavy Rain, and that it came out on the PS3 just a month before the PS4 launched, so there’s every chance that Quantic Dream might be working on a late PS4 title in a similar situation. Either way, all we can do for now is guess. Stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more info.
