Quantum Break’s Narrative Designer Leaves Remedy

No trouble in paradise, hopefully.

Remedy is working on its awesome looking Quantum Break, that is scheduled to release some time this year exclusively for the Xbox One, but it appears that it’ll be seeing a pretty major change of staff soon- apparently, the lead narrative director working on the game, Tony Elias, has left the studio, and is joining up Shadow of Mordor developer Monolith Soft instead.

From the tone of the tweets, it appears that the parting was amicable, at the very least- it sounds like there was no antagonism or acrimony involved. That said, one has to wonder if this might negatively impact Quantum Break, which is, in any case, a narrative focused game? Or would the storyteller’s job have been mostly over by this point in time in the game’s development cycle, the plot having been set in stone?

We won’t know if this departure may have had a negative impact on the game until it releases. Let’s hope that it didn’t, and that the game delivers on all of its promise.
