Quantum Break’s Xbox One X Update Is Almost 95GB

The final install size for the game will come in at over 178GB on an Xbox One X.

Quantum Break was a flawed game, and one that sadly did not get the chance to live up to its rather unique potential; however, thankfully, Remedy and Microsoft have returned to update the game for the Xbox One X, so that players can rediscover it in the stunning graphics that Microsoft’s new console will allow for.

The Xbox One X update for Quantum Break, then, weighs in at a staggering 94.7GB- this information comes to us via the Xbox One subreddit, where a picture of the patch size was posted. 95GB is insane for a patch- when you install it, the game will take up 102.6GB of space. If you additionally install the TV show experience, the space it takes up on your hard drive goes up to 178.1GB. That is, to be clear, more than a third of the usable space that a 500GB Xbox One comes with- it is absolutely insane (though to be fair, you will never have the 4K files installed on a standard 500GB Xbox One either- this is more for perspective).

It is also endemic of the problem of large file and download sizes for games and patches this generation- the most we can hope for is that Microsoft and Sony work on curbing this problem going forward a bit.
