But the game will continue on.

Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege may be one of the most interesting success stories over the last few years. Launching in a less than ideal state, the game has had multiple fixes, updates and expansions that has managed to cement it as one of the biggest ongoing live service games around, managing to find success even as Ubisoft went through a pretty rough slump. It seems though that many core members of the team behind the game are getting ready to move on.

In a video released by the publisher, Creative Director Xavier Marquis and Brand Director Alexandre Remy announced they are taking some core members of the Siege team onto a new unspecified project. It’s probably a bit of sad news for fans, but they are clear in saying this isn’t the end of Siege by any stretch of the imagination. Those remaining will continue working on the game, as well as new members who will come in.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s latest expansion, Shifting Tides, is available now across all platforms.
