Rainbow Six Siege has been one of Ubisoft’s most wildly and enduringly successful games over the course of several years this generation, and even as the core team that worked on the game moves on to a new project, the multiplayer tactical shooter is continuing to attract new players in droves.

Enjoying record numbers back in October 2019 and having crossed 50 million registered players a month before that, Rainbow Six Siege has now crossed yet another notable landmark. During their recent quarterly financial briefing, Ubisoft confirmed that the shooter has now accumulated over 55 million registered players through the course of its lifetime.

In addition, in December 2019, it saw more monthly active users than any previous December in the game’s life. The third quarter of the current fiscal year (encompassing October-December 2019) also saw an increase in recurring purchases from players (covering DLC, season passes, subscriptions, in-game items, or any other in-game spending), while the game also hit a new peak in daily average revenue per user during that period.

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Keep an eye out for news on the game’s Year 5 content, because it might be bringing with it some interesting changes.
