Rainbow Six Siege Still Runs At 1080p on PS4, 900p on Xbox One

But Ubisoft claims it is still optimizing.

At this point, we have more or less come to accept that games on the Xbox One run at lower resolutions than their PS4 counterparts. It’s just how things are, and honestly, it’s not even that bad, unless you’re trying to score some points in some console wars arguments.

Which means that in an ideal world, the news that the open beta of Rainbow Six: Siege, which leads right into the game’s official launch, still runs at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One, wouldn’t be much of a big deal. Unfortunately, this isn’t an ideal world, so I foresee it being a big deal, all right.

The good news is that Ubisoft says the resolutions are still not set in stone- somehow, with the game less than a week away from launch, Ubisoft claims it is still working to optimize the game as much as possible to extract better performance.

So, there you have it, I guess.
