Ubisoft have posted a new update that gives some interesting details on Kaid, one of the new operators that will be added to Rainbow Six: Siege when Operation Wind Bastion launches. Kaid is described by Ubisoft as a “commander”, “leader”, and “legend”.

As commander of the Kasbah Sehkra Mania, which is the Fortress that is part of the upcoming DLC, Kaid has a reputation that precedes him. He is considered something of a traditionalist, and leads his soldiers in such a manner that they do not rely on technology too much, and instead work off their own training, skills, and instincts.

He does, however, make use of some technology to his benefit, in the form of his spider bot, which can “complement his security systems”. He is also equipped with something called a Electroclaw, which can electrocute everything from reinforced walls, to barbed wire, to even deployable shields.

You can get more information on him in Ubisoft’s update through the link above. Meanwhile, a short introductory video for him has also been released, which you can view below. Ubisoft have also confirmed that they will be revealing the upcoming Operation Wind Bastion in full on the Rainbow Six Twitch Channel on November 17 and 18 during the Pro League finals. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
