Rainbow Six: Siege Will Release on October 13

Plus, various Special Editions of the game announced.

Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six: Siege, the revival of the Rainbow Six series that was announced to great excitement last E3, will be launching worldwide this year on October 13. It’s actually a little surprising that it will be launching before The Division (which was revealed and announced a whole year before Siege), but there you have it.

As is the norm for Ubisoft games, there will be multiple Special Editions launching for the game in addition to the standard release. Thankfully, there aren’t that many different variants this time around, and at the very least there is a very clear cut system of tiers:

  • The Standard Edition, which goes for £49.99, and includes just the game and nothing else
  • The Gold Edition, which is £64.99, and includes the Season Pass as well as the game
  • The Art of Siege Edition, which includes the full game, a collector’s box, a Gold Skins Pack for all in-game weapons and an exclusive 120 page Tactical Guide, which details  each Counter Terrorist Unit, Operators, weapons, and maps with the highest level of detail and statistics, but does not have a Season Pass. It’s £59.99.
  • The Tactical Elite Edition, which includes everything in the Art of Siege and Gold Editions, for £74.99.

Update: The Art of Siege Edition will also be available in India. It is priced at INR 3,999 for PC, and INR 4,999 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Standard Edition of the game is priced at INR 1,499 for PC, and INR 3,499 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can pre-order them from here.

Rainbow Six: Siege will be launching on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Stay tuned for more coverage.
