#3. BALDUR’S GATE 2: SHADOWS OF AMN
Baldur’s Gate 2 is pretty much the perfect sequel- it knew the strengths of its predecessor, which was already excellent on its own, and it improved upon those strengths so much and so well, that even in the absence of anything spectacularly refreshing or innovating, it managed to stand out as a landmark release.
To this day, almost two decades after its release, Baldur’s Gate 2 is regarded as one of the best – if not the best – cRPG ever made. The fact that even all these years later, its quality and brilliance have stood the test of time speaks volumes about just how excellent Baldur’s Gate 2 was.
