#3. RESIDENT EVIL 4

Resident Evil 4 was when Capcom’s survival horror franchise stopped being an industry giant and became an industry legend. It’s said that the best franchises are those that can grow and change with the times without losing their identity, ad with Resident Evil 4, this series did so in spectacular fashion. In retrospect, it marked the beginning of the shift towards a more action-oriented for the franchise, but RE4 in particular struck a perfect balance, delivering action and scares in equal measure. It felt new and exciting and fresh and revolutionary, and yet, it still felt like Resident Evil.
