Rare working on “multiple AAA” shooter and action-adventure titles for Xbox 720

Posted By | On 17th, May. 2012

According to recently posted job ads (via Superannuation), once-legendary developer Rare is looking to hire people to work on multiple AAA shooter and/or action-adventure titles for the Xbox 720, some of which might even be new IPs altogether.

The job ad is looking for a senior product manager to help create “multiple AAA future console releases”.

“Whilst continual development of their core releases will be maintained, the successful candidate will be joining at a time where the studio is looking to move into new areas and develop new IPs for future platforms,” the ad reads.

“You will have a successful history of releasing exceptional AAA games and these will ideally be in the Action/Adventure or FPS genre but this is not essential.”

Let’s hope Microsoft does something about the tons of franchises they have under their wing but never use, a la Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie and others.

Stay tuned for more updates.
