Ratchet And Clank PS4 Mega Guide: Collectibles, Cheats, Infinite Ammo, Bolts And More

Insomniac Games have just released Ratchet and Clank, a reimagining of the original classic game on the PlayStation 2. Ratchet and Clank modernizes the original story, and brings over a decade’s worth of gameplay refinements and mechanics to it in the process. The end result if a gorgeous game, possibly the best offering on the PlayStation 4 yet, and one that is highly recommended to everyone- especially at its budget price of $40, it’s unbeatable value.

Like with all Insomniac games, Ratchet and Clank is full of little secrets, side objectives, collectibles, and so on. It can honestly be a bit hard to keep track of everything- that’s where we come in with this guide. From Gold Bolts to Raritanium, from Trophies to Telepathopus Brains and Holocards, this guide will help you ensure you leave no nook or cranny unexplored in Ratchet and Clank. Furthermore, we have also includes guides and cheats for unlimited ammo and infinite bolts along with some of the trophies in the game.

COLLECTIBLES

Ratchet and Clank has so many collectibles- Holocards, Raritanium, and Gold Bolts, just to name a few. It’s a bit shocking that these games, which, we are told, are made targeted for children, can have so many wrinkles and layers to them- but then, I suppose that is why they manage to be so popular with players of all ages.

The videos below will help you track down every last collectible in the game- all collectibles, in all locations. The videos are separated by planet, and one video usually shows you the locations for all collectibles on a single planet.

TELEPATHOPUS BRAINS

There are 90 of these suckers spread throughout the game- if you want to track them all down, you’ll need this video’s help! Check out the video below for locations of all 90!

CHEATS AND TIPS

For a game that is allegedly aimed at children, Ratchet and Clank can get brutally difficult. And hey, there’s no harm in trying to tip the odds back in your favor a bit, right? You can use some of these exploits to make life easier for yourself- it’s a victimless crime!

Infinite Bolts

Bolts are the primary currency in Ratchet and Clank, so having a lot of them on hand can certainly help. The video below shows you how to get an infinite amount, but here’s a recap:

  1. Complete the story mission on Batalia
  2. Use the taxi stand at the start of the level to fast travel back to the turret- this creates a checkpoint for you to return to later
  3. Smash the stack of crates, fly through the hole in the wall and fall to your death.
  4. Repeat ad infinitum

Infinite Ammo

Like the original game on which it is based, Ratchet and Clank has a whole host of Gold Bolts to collect- to be precise, it has 28 of them. When you collect 27, you can activate the infinite ammo cheat; getting all 28 lets you activate the invulnerability cheat. You can check out the video below for details:
