In the Ratchet and Clank games, Bolts are your main currency. That’s no exception in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart since you’ll need Bolts for ammo and buying new weapons. Fortunately, there are a myriad of ways to earn them.

The most obvious methods are by killing enemies and breaking various objects in the environment. This is something you’ll be doing throughout your adventure so don’t be afraid to smash everything in the environment and leave no survivors. Just ensure that you’re near the Bolts to collect them before they disappear. It’s also a good idea to complete any side-objectives and Pocket Dimensions. The Arena is also a good way to farm Bolts since it can be repeated as many times as one likes.

If you just want as many Bolts as possible and don’t mind cheesing a bit, then head to Sargasso’s Pocket Dimension 729-2110-01. Destroy the exploding platforms and you’ll earn tons of Bolts. They keep respawning so this process can be repeated. Check out the video below to see it in action.

Another method is to complete the story and partake in Challenge Mode. This is essentially New Game Plus with tougher enemies but you keep all of your weapons. The Bolt Multiplier is also active and keeps increasing the amount of Bolts earned if you don’t take damage. With a 20 times multiplier and a few runs of the Arena, it’s very easy to top out your currency. Challenge Mode also provides access to Omega versions of all maxed out weapons so if you truly want every single one, then this is the way.
