The limbless wonder will be available on the Nintendo Wii U in Japan – and he’s bringing a few friends. Ubisoft has recently announced that Nintendo will be publishing Rayman Legends in Japan in Spring 2013. Meanwhile, Ubisoft has released a demo on the European Wii U eShop for those who want to test drive its gameplay.

Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA vice-president sales and marketing at Ubisoft states, “We are delighted to have our promising Rayman Legends published by Nintendo in Japan. Rayman’s innovative take on the platforming genre has already seduced millions of gamers across the globe with last year’s Rayman Origins. We are very glad that its successor will benefit from Nintendo’s unrivaled experience of the Japanese market.”

As a Wii U exclusive, Rayman Legends not only features new characters and interesting new takes on multiplayer, but will take advantage of the Wii U Gamepad to clear out enemies, find new paths, rotate platforms and even supports transferring the game onto the Gamepad for continued play.

Rayman Legends is due to release for Wii U in North America on February 26th 2013, and February 28th 2013 in Europe.
