Razer Announces Sports Festival for GamesCom 2012

Posted By | On 09th, Aug. 2012

Razer is best known for it’s PC products, including pro-gaming centred mouses. This year at GamesCom 2012 however, they’ve organised a sports festival with e-Sports and BMX competitions.

The “BMX Spine Battle” takes place on Aug. 16 to Aug. 19 and takes place on mini spine-ramp within the exhibition hall. The 12 best riders 1,000 Euros, and maybe the extra “in your face” to the losers. Remaining riders, audience members and the jury will assign scores with BMX meister Zack “Catfish” Yankush hosting the event.

For the more vertically challenged attendees, there are still plenty of things to do. Razer is organising featured matches and prizes for the winners. Show acts between the battles have also been promised to further the Razer atmosphere. This means insanity and irreverent fun, if the above wasn’t enough of an indicator (come on, BMX. Isn’t that enough to say so?).

Check it out, if only to witness how extreme mouses and bike riding could possibly coexist.
