Void Interactive’s Ready or Not has surpassed one million sales since launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the developer’s LinkedIn, the tactical squad-based shooter achieved this in just four days, which is impressive.
First released in 2021 via Steam Early Access, Ready or Not fully launched in December 2023 and accrued positive reviews from PC players. It casts players in the role of Commander David “Judge” Beaumont, who commands D Platoon of the Los Sueños Police Department. They’re task is to handle tactical operations, from hostage situations to drug busts.
Players can issue commands and manage their squad in the single-player Commander Mode. If officers or civilians die, stress can begin to mount, which means sending the survivors to therapy and enlisting recruits. The action has been favorably compared to the defunct SWAT series, but you can also engage in co-op with up to four other players online.
