So, why can't I tie up some fools in multiplayer?

Following the announcement of Red Dead Redemption going backwards compatible for Xbox One on July 8th, sales of the base game and the Game of the Year Edition have shot up tremendously.

As per Amazon UK, sales of the Xbox 360 version of Red Dead Redemption is up by over 6100 percent in the past 24 hours following the announcement. The Game of the Year Edition’s sales are up by over 1800 percent. Rockstar has confirmed that the original game, Undead Nightmare and the Game of the Year Edition would all be backward compatible. It can also be purchased via the Xbox Store.

Fans have been ask for the Xbox 360 version of Rockstar’s open world action adventure Western to support backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. While this doesn’t mean the PC version or sequel is coming anytime soon, at least it shows that Rockstar cares enough about its fans to bring back the Xbox 360 version.
