Twelve former employees of Infinity Ward, who worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Ghosts, have formed a new development studio called Reload Studios alongside former Heavy Iron team members. They will be working on a new first person shooter for mobiles, VR and next gen consoles.

Co-founder James Chung stated that, “When I first saw what the latest round of VR devices could do, I realized these were not just peripherals but brand new platforms that could transform the way we experience, interact with and create media.

“It was the perfect time to follow my passion and bring together the most talented people I know under one roof to form a development culture that promotes creativity and collaboration.”

This first person shooter will be released in 2015 and sounds intriguing enough. After all, the last time a small team left Infinity Ward to make an FPS, we got Titanfall from Respawn Entertainment. Can Reload Studios do better? We’ll find out next year.
