EA recently announced that Battlefield 3 will be unplayable without an Origin account on the PC. And now, DICE’s Daniel Mastros has tweeted: “Your name is linked to your origin persona.”
This basically means that out Battlefield 3 account/soldier’s name will be that of our Origin account, meaning that we will be unable to make a new soldeir or make a new profile in the game, unlike previous entries in the series.
Even in the alpha version, players found they could change the name of their soldier or profile unless they changed their Origin username.
Daniel Mastros, though, has said that DICE will clarify this as the release date of the game draws closer.
