Resident Evil 2 makes several quality of life improvements to make life a little easier for players, not just over the original, but over recent entries in the series as well. The biggest of these can be seen in the map, which is now more intuitive and convenient than it has ever been. Rooms that you’ve finished searching are clearly labelled on the map, while rooms where there are things left for you to find or do are highlighted red. Additionally, unopened safes, lockers, doors, or any items that you may have found or didn’t pick up, are all also marked on the map.
