Resident Evil 2 is almost here: a fantastic reimagining of the beloved original classic, widely considered to be the best game in the original style of the series, that goes above and beyond in modernizing it. We’ve been seeing a lot of the game of late in the lead up to its release, most recently with the over 30 minutes of gameplay footage that we got for it.
That gameplay footage focused on Claire, who is, obviously, playable in the upcoming game. Now, we have a bunch of new screenshots for the title as well, also all focused on Claire, as she navigates the abominations and horrors unleashed upon Raccoon City by Umbrella Corp.
The best part? Well, all these screenshots are downsampled from 4K, so you can see just how well the game’s attempted photorealistic graphical style translates to that resolution, too. It’s giving us way too much detail on these horrifying creatures, at any rate.
Resident Evil 2 launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25.
