Streaming has become quite the norm when it comes to both TV and movies, and it looks like a major AAA video game franchise may be going in the same direction. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard has been announced for the Nintendo Switch in Japan and one of the surprising things about its release is that it will be available as a Cloud Version only. A trailer has also been released for this version.
Resident Evil VII Biohazard Cloud Version will include all of the previously content previously released on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This includes all of the DLC content as well. The game will be playable only through streaming and cannot be played offline at all. Obviously, this means that an active internet connection will be required at all times for the game to be playable. This Cloud Version of the game is set to release in Japan on May 24, and no Western release has been announced as of now.
