It looks like a new Resident Evil game- possibly the long awaited Resident Evil 2 remake- is being teased right now. On the Japanese Twitter account for the franchise, a new header image has gone up, which you can see for yourself below- what you will see is that the image includes Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2, and Resident Evil 7, the three most recent entries in the franchise. And then, there is a giant blank spot right next to them.
Is this spot where a new Resident Evil game would go? Probably. And it’s also really prominent, and hard to miss, which makes it clear that this is meant to be an active tease. So, a new Resident Evil announcement is probably inbound- and it’s not that big of a stretch to assume that it would probably be Resident Evil 2‘s long awaited remake.
Whatever it is, we hope Capcom announces it soon. After Resident Evil 7, we can’t wait to see where this series goes next.
