Resident Evil on the Wii U could be very interesting, says Capcom

Less talk, more action.

The Wii U has a lot of unique features, and one of them is a gamepad which allows people to play streamed games directly from the console. The console already has a Zombie game from Ubisoft which does the same thing, but a Resident Evil director is interested in the system as well.

There are a lot of possibilities surely, and this is what Koshi Nakanishi–who directed Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS–had to say.

“If I was to work on a game for the Wii U, I would definitely want to make something that couldn’t be done on any other hardware,” he said to ONM.

“The GamePad’s separate screen enables so many possibilities, and playing on a television screen would enable sharing the experience in a way that wasn’t possible on Nintendo 3DS. I feel it would let us create a very unique and fun Resident Evil game.”

I would love to see a new Resident Evil game on the Wii U, and they could even port Resident Evil 6 with unique gameplay mechanics to take advantage of the Wii U–and also improve the damn image quality while they’re at it.
