Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has officially launched, bringing Asobo Studio’s latest entry in the series to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Celebrating the release on social media, the official A Plague Tale account also revealed the game’s launch trailer. It must be noted that the project represents four years of work from the teams at Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment.
Unlike Innocence and Requiem, Resonance places Sophia in the starring role and pushes the series in a noticeably different gameplay direction. The prequel is set years before Requiem and combines close-range combat with exploration, environmental puzzles, platforming, and cinematic sequences. It is also available through Xbox Game Pass at launch, making it easier for players to jump into Sophia’s earlier story.
We came away highly impressed in our review; Sophia proved to be an excellent protagonist, while the tighter combat, elaborate puzzles, and large-scale set pieces helped give the adventure an identity of its own. Lasting around 15 to 20 hours, we ultimately scored it nine out of ten, describing it as potentially the most enjoyable Plague Tale entry yet.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is available now via Steam and the Epic Games Store on PC, alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
